Eintracht Frankfurt preview: Frankfurt on the push

The entertaining but inconsistent Eintracht Frankfurt have remained frustrating since the appointment of Albert Riera, who replaced Dino Toppmoller, as they begin the weekend’s round of fixtures sitting seventh in the table.

The hosts did earn themselves a 2-1 victory over relegation-battling Wolfsburg at the Volkswagen Arena last weekend, courtesy of first-half goals scored by Oscar Hojlund, brother of Rasmus, and Nottingham Forest loanee Arnaud Kalimuendo.

RB Leipzig preview: Cementing themselves

RB Leipzig are cementing themselves with a top four finish and potential UEFA Champions League qualification as they begin this weekend’s round of fixtures sitting four points ahead of fifth placed Bayer Leverkusen.

Leipzig head into this one on the back of extending their winning streak to three matches, courtesy of an 80th minute winner from Yan Diomande to defeat Borussia Monchengladbach by a goal to nil at the Red Bull Arena last week.

Eintracht Frankfurt vs RB Leipzig prediction

After a shake up of the Red Bull group and organisation last summer, RB Leipzig haven’t been at their previous best but they have been much-improved and they have found some excellent form in the last couple of months. That said, Frankfurt are a team that are capable of dragging any team into a bit of a thriller and so a fun watch for the neutral seems a good bet for this one.
