Kerala and Puducherry both won four matches last season in this competition but failed to reach the Super League stage but it was Kerala who had the arguably the tougher group and will feel they under-achieved with their roster. Their batting line-up boasts the likes of Sachin Baby, Robin Uthappa and Sanju Samson but none of them particularly impressed last season so they will be desperate to do better this time around. They should have far too much quality for Puducherry and expected a comprehensive win for Kerala.
