Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Kobel; Can, Anton, Schlotterbeck, Svensson; Sabitzer, Gross; Adeyemi, Brandt, Gittens; Guirassy

Bochum vs Borussia Dortmund Prediction

This is simply must-win from a Borussia Dortmund perspective. To drop points away to rock bottom Bochum would be a disaster for new head coach Niko Kovac and ruin all the momentum generate from dispatching Sporting Lisbon 0-3 in Portugal less than a week ago in the Champions League. It’s been a nightmare of a domestic campaign so far with the German giants down in 11th-place and they simply have to start winning games consistently.

Bochum remain in deep trouble with the gap between them and 15th-place now seven points. A more realistic short-term target would be to catch 16th-placed Heidenheim, who are just three points above them. But the expectation is that the home side will come up short here and that Dortmund will pick up victory.

Bochum vs Borussia Dortmund Tip: Borussia Dortmund to win
