- Under-strength Hull FC somehow managed to claim a victory away at Catalans as they won in golden point for the second time this season with Marc Sneyd’s boot guiding his side to the win.
- The Black and Whites will be boosted by the return of Mickey Paea from suspension and will be joined by fellow front-rowers Scott Taylor and Masi Matongo but Andre Savelio won’t return despite also serving his ban due to an ankle injury.
- Levy Nzoungou, Jordan Thompson and Danny Washbrook are the three to drop out of the 19 with 18-year-old Jack Brown retaining his place in the squad after an impressive debut last week which saw him score with his first touch of the ball in Super League.

- Hull KR left it late but managed to avoid a Challenge Cup upset as they beat Halifax on the back of a great league win against Leeds and will now look to make it three wins in a row against local rivals Hull FC
- Rovers will be without winger Ryan Shaw who picked up a two-match ban for a dangerous throw last week but the Robins are boosted by the return of a couple of senior figures who missed out then.
- Shaun Lunt and Mitch Garbutt are back in the squad whilst Lee Jewitt is also back after a lengthy lay-off with Shaw’s place in the side set to be taken by Will Oakes after he was named in the 19.
THE PREDICTION
Hull FC will be out for revenge after they were beaten in the dying seconds in the opening round of the season at Hull KR. The Black and Whites should be able to field one of their strongest squads of the season despite still being heavily impacted by injuries and on the back of two important wins, they can make it three in a row here. This should be a keenly contested game with both sides having plenty on the line other than just local bragging rights, but the home side should have too much.
