- The 2017 Royal London One-Day Cup champions have made an outstanding start to this campaign having won all three matches to sit at the top of the North Group with the only 100% record in the group as they look to extend this run of results.
- They have shrugged off the absence of Alex Hales who has not played due to personal reasons and he has now joined up with the England squad, but that has not impacted the team as their batting has been in sensational form with Ben Slater and Joe Clarke especially shining.
- Notts head coach Peter Moores has named an unchanged squad for this match and there is little reason to change this winning team and the bowling unit is looking as impressive as the batting department with star overseas pace bowler James Pattinson looking in excellent form already.
LEICESTERSHIRE

- Leicestershire have not made the start that they expected having lost three of their four matches and this match represents a make-or-break game for them as they cannot afford another defeat in the group stage.
- Colin Ackermann produced a second successive century against Derbyshire last time out but that was in vain as they could not defend an adjusted total of 266 from 39 overs as they lost on the final ball and there are improvements to make throughout the team.
- They managed two run-outs against Derbyshire but their bowlers otherwise took one solitary wicket and that along with being relatively expensive across the board, does not bode well when playing at the highest scoring ground in the country.
THE PREDICTION
It has been contrasting starts for these two teams as Notts are flying while Leicestershire are stuttering badly right now. Both batting line-ups are playing relatively well which is essential at Trent Bridge with its fast outfield, but there is a notable gulf in the quality of the bowling attacks. Pattinson, Fletcher and Ball offer Notts far more threat and quality than the Leicestershire bowling attack, and that should tip it in favour of the hosts who can make it four wins from four.
