- St Helens continued their superb form as they saw off local rivals Wigan last week. They defended superbly, restricting Wigan to a consolation try in the second half as they sealed a hard-fought contest 6-14.
- Zeb Taia returns to the squad after missing out with a thumb injury last week. He takes the place of the injured Adam Swift.
- Saints have now won 11 straight Super League matches and can end the regular season with just one loss on home soil if they win here.

- Warrington got back to winning ways with a win over Hull KR last week. Rovers pushed the Wolves for long spells but a couple of late tries sealed the victory for Warrington as they ran out 20-34 winners.
- Ben Westwood, Bryson Goodwin and Ben Murdoch-Masila all return to the squad having recovered from injuries. Pat Moran, Morgan Smith and Ben Pomeroy make way.
- Warrington’s win last week extended their run away from home to six wins from seven Super League contests but they face a tough task to improve that record against the league leaders.
THE PREDICTION
St Helens end their regular season campaign having already secured their semi-final spot despite the Super 8s not yet getting under way. They host a Warrington side that look all but certain to join them having opened up a seven-point lead over fifth-placed Hull FC last weekend. The Wolves claimed another away win but now travel to Saints who have only lost once at home all season which was way back in March. Saints looked impressive against rivals Wigan last week – as they have all season – and will want to end the regular season on a positive with another high-profile win to add to their already outstanding record and they will do just that.
