- Hull’s chances of being in the top 4 at the end of the regular season were left hanging by a thread after a disappointing defeat at Huddersfield. The Black and Whites were poor on both sides of the ball and were deservedly beaten 29-18 by the Giants.
- Jordan Abdull makes a return from a broken leg and will come straight into the starting 13 in the halves. Jansin Turgut is also recalled to the 19-man squad with Brad Fash and Jez Litten making way.
- Hull will look to improve their impressive home record in this contest against the league leaders. FC have won eight of their nine games on home soil this season.

- St Helens all but secured their place at the top of the table ahead of the end of the regular season with a comfortable win over Widnes last week. Saints were too good for the bottom-placed Vikings as they secured a 36-6 victory.
- Ryan Morgan returns to the 19-man squad after recovering from a knock. He replaces Matty Costello whilst Ben Barba and Tommy Makinson could also return after sitting out last week.
- St Helens won their ninth consecutive Super League game last week which was also their 11th straight win in all competitions.
THE PREDICTION
Hull host St Helens needing to bounce back from last week’s poor defeat to Huddersfield that saw them fall a further point behind in the race for the top 4. The Black and Whites put in an under-par performance and now face a massive test against the league leaders. Saints have only lost two games all season and continued their fine form with their ninth win in a row in the league with victory over Widnes last week. Hull are still without seven first team players to make their task even more difficult and although they have only lost once at home this season, Saints will continue their winning run.
