Amanda Anisimova vs Elina Svitolina prediction

Amanda Anisimova has continued her fine form from Wimbledon and the fifth-seed is enjoying another great week in Montreal.

The 23-year-old destroyed the in-form Emma Raducanu on Friday winning 6-2 6-1 and has shown that her tough loss in the final at Wimbledon to Iga Swiatek has not had any lasting effects on her.

She now faces another tough assignment as she meets tenth-seed Elina Svitolina on Sunday in the round of 16.

The Ukrainian enjoyed her own dominant win last time out as she lost just two games in beating Anna Kalinskaya 6-1 6-1. She won a staggering 92% on her first serve and was far too good for her opponent.

Anisimova and Svitolina have met four times before with Svitolina having won three of those meetings. The most recent match came in 2021 however and Anisimova has come on leaps and bounds since then.

We like the momentum that Ansimova has right now and we love the fact she is showing such great form after the psychological blow of losing the Wimbledon final 6-0 6-0. Her energy is great and she is on fire right now.

That said, so is Svitolina this week and she will push Anisimova all the way. For that reason, we like the game betting in a match that could easily go the distance.
