Wigan Warriors Team News: Field out

Jai Field won’t feature for the hosts as a head injury sees him not named in the squad. Combine that with Bevan French also being out and that’s two of Wigan’s most dangerous attacking weapons missing here.

Squad: Adam Keighran, Jake Wardle, Liam Marshall, Harry Smith, Ethan Havard, Brad O’Neill, Junior Nsemba, Liam Farrell, Kaide Ellis, Patrick Mago, Liam Byrne, Kruise Leeming, Tyler Dupree, Harvie Hill, Zach Eckersley, Tom Forber, Jack Farrimond, Jacob Douglas, Harvey Makin, Noah Hodkinson, Christian Wade

Catalans Dragons Team News: Three changes

The visitors make three changes ahead of their trip to Wigan. Nick Cotric, Arthur Romano and Paul Seguier are all out for the Dragons, with Jordan Dezaria, Bayley Sironen and Fouad Yaha coming in for them.

Squad: Tommy Makinson, Luke Keary, Tevita Pangai Jr, Benjamin Garcia, Julian Bousquet, Tariq Sims, Oliver Partington, Alrix Da Costas, Chris Satae, Romain Navarrete, Bayley Sironen, Cesar Rouge, Jordan Dezaria, Theo Fages, Fouad Yaha, Matthiue Laguerre, Franck Maria, Guillermo Aispuro-Bichet, Clement Martin, Leo Darrelatour, Denive Balmforth

Wigan Warriors vs Catalans Dragons Prediction

The Catalans Dragons players are playing for their respective futures having now gotten clarity over who will be leading the ship next year. Joel Tomkins has been given the job on a permanent basis desite his side having lost the vast majority of games during his spell as interim boss. This is a Dragons team very much in transition and looking ahead to the future.

Wigan Warriors are smarting after that Hull FC defeat last time out, the second time this season Matt Peet’s side have been beaten at home by that opponent. It’s risky expecting Wigan Warriors to steamroll through the Dragons without Field and French in the side, but this is a very weak Catalans team and there’s no excuse for Wigan not to get the job done.
