A brilliant comeback against the Raiders saw Brisbane Broncos snap a four-match losing streak last time out and it’ll be interesting to see if they can ride the momentum from that game into this one. Melbourne Storm’s defeat at the hands of Penrith Panthers last time out has eliminated their chances of a top eight finish and the players will no doubt be feeling down as a result.
This opens up an opportunity for Michael Maguire’s side. The defending champions need to look forward and last Friday gives them the opportunity to do that. Now with the same group of players in the squad and home advantage in their favour, backing them feels worthwhile against a potentially unmotivated Storm.
