England team news: Strange things

England have taken a big hit with the news that Jasmin Strange will miss the rest of the World Cup with a knee injury suffered during training. Head coach Stuart Barrow has drafted in current ‘Woman of Steel’ Jenna Foubister of Wigan Warriors to start here.

Australia vs England prediction

Whilst they were expected to win by a big margin, England still impressed significantly in their 70-6 beating of Wales. But we didn’t learn anything new about Stuart Barrow’s side in that game. Australia though, are the gold standard and ‘nilling’ Samoa by 40 points only proves it further. They’ve beaten England before and will be big favourites to do so again.

Even if they opt to rotate key players, the depth of the Jillaroos is so formidable, with a world class player in every position. Jaime Chapman got her first try of the tournament against Samoa and will be expected to get on the board again sooner rather than later in game two. Therefore, back another try for her and another Aussie victory here.

Australia vs England tip: Australia to win and Jaime Chapman to score a try anytime
