USA vs Finland prediction

USA’s 100% record in the competition came to an end in their most recent match as the reigning champions were defeated 3-6 by Sweden, knocking them into second-place in Group A and setting up this quarter-final against Finland, third-place finishers in Group B but beaten in each of their last two games. They’ll need to tighten up significantly from a defensive perspective after Canada put seven goals past them last time out, otherwise USA will make them pay.

Finland have the attacking capabilities to hurt USA and it would be no surprise to see them score more than once. But the reigning champions are more rounded than their opponents and have already shown that these group of players are strong under pressure and in the clutch, coming from behind to beat Slovakia. Expect them to get the better of Finland and move one step closer to a historic ‘three peat’.
