Udinese preview: Impressive win last week

Udinese come into this one on the back of an impressive 3-0 hammering of an out of form AC Milan side at San Siro with a Davide Bartesaghi own goal before strikes from Jurgen Ekkelenkamp and Arthur Atta.

The Friulians begin this weekend's round of fixtures now sitting tucked inside the top-half of the Serie A table after a run of just one defeat in their last six matches, under the management of former Legia Warsaw boss Kosta Runjaic.

Parma preview: Sturdy Parma

They now face a Parma side that, coached by Mikel Arteta's former assistant at Arsenal Carlos Cuesta, are on a long winless run of form in Serie A but they did earn themselves a typically strong draw last weekend.

The visitors backed up a 1-1 draw with Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome before a 1-1 draw with reigning champions Napoli at the Ennio Tardini last weekend, with Gabriel Strefezza's first minute opener cancelled out by a Scott McTominay strike in the second-half.

Udinese team news: Davis out again

Keinan Davis has enjoyed an impressive season but he is once again missing through injury due to a thigh issue, which is something that former AFC Bournemouth full-back Jordan Zemura is fighting his way back from.

Predicted XI (3-5-2): Okoye; Kristensen, Kabasele, Solet; Ehizibue, Ekkelenkamp, Karlstrom, Atta, Kamara; Zaniolo, Bayo

Unavailable: Zanoli (Injured), Davis (Injured)

Questionable: Zemura (Injured)

Parma team news: Couple of absentees

Parma are dealing with a couple of injury absentees for their trip to Friuli this weekend as Matija Frigan is sidelined alongside versatile midfielder Benjamin Cremaschi.

Predicted XI (3-5-2): Suzuki; Del Prato, Circati, Valenti; Troilo, Adrian Bernabe, Caviglia, Keita, Valeri; Elphege, Strefezza

Unavailable: Frigan (Injured), Cremaschi (Injured)

Questionable:

Udinese vs Parma prediction

Udinese have been consistent throughout the last couple of seasons since the appointment of Runjaic in the aftermath of narrowly escaping relegation in 2024. They aren't necessarily 'on the beach' either and, despite the stubbornness of Parma, siding with the hosts would appear the way to go for this one in a likely low-scoring encounter this weekend.

Udinese vs Parma tip: Double chance - Udinese to win or draw & under 3.5 goals
