World number 25 Tallon Griekspoor has enjoyed the best season of his career by far but he takes a two-match losing streak into the Stockholm Open after suffering injury in the first round of the Shanghai Masters last time out. The 27-year-old won his first two ATP titles this year on a hardcourt at the Pune Open in January and on home grass at ‘s-Hertogenbosch in June but he has struggled for form since losing to Dan Evans in the Citi Open final two months ago. World number 61 Emil Ruusuvuori conceded just three games to Benjamin Hassan on Tuesday to open his Stockholm account and the Finn is capable of much better tennis than his current ranking suggests. Griekspoor has won both of their encounters this season in straight sets, including last month in similar conditions at the Davis Cup group stages, to look the solid favourite but Ruusuvuori is well capable of an upset here. Take Griekspoor to earn at least a set to leave the victor up to chance given his sub-par recent results.
