29-year-old Henri Laaksonen set a new career-high ATP world ranking of 92nd this week after a breakthrough season on tour last year. World number two Daniil Medvedev won his first Grand Slam last season with a straight-sets victory over Novak Djokovic at the US Open. The 25-year-old has enjoyed the best of his tennis on the North American hard swing over the last couple of years but he finished runner-up to Djokovic here last season and he faces a strong chance of making a fourth major final later this month.
