DANIEL EVANS
31-year-old Dan Evans lost to eventual champion Andrey Rublev in the first round of the Dubai Tennis Championships last time out, as well as the eventual Sydney International champion Aslan Karatsev back in January. Federico Coria has grabbed some decent results this season as he steadily moves up the rankings and the Argentine could well break the top 50, even top 40, over the clay swing. The slowish hardcourts of Indian Wells should level the playing field somewhat but if Dan Evans maintains the level he has shown for the majority of 2022 he can be backed to come through here. The Brit should be taking this in two but the outright win is a sensible concession.
