This looks a tight call between world number 57 Arthur Rinderknech and compatriot Benjamin Bonzi, who is just five places behind at world number 62. Both players have recently reached semi-finals on tour, with 26-year-old Rinderknech shocking Denis Shapovalov at the Qatar Open before losing to Nikoloz Basilashvili and 25-year-old Bonzi stunning Aslan Karatsev at the Open 13 in Marseille last month. The pair are currently occupying that odd space on tour between being too good for Challenger events but not quite stepping over the threshold on tour, although Rinderknech would have something to say about that after he finished runner-up at Adelaide 2 in January. The pair met twice on the Challenge circuit last season, with Rinderknech winning a title in Istanbul in three sets and Bonzi returning the favour, also in three sets, in the semi-finals of an event in Rennes that he went on to win. With three sets likely again, back the more experienced Rinderknech to win at least one of them.
