Switzerland vs Slovakia prediction

Switzerland and Slovakia are well-matched and the likelihood is that we will see a very close contest here between these two nations. Both have won one and lost two so far across the group stage, each going down to the powerhouses of Sweden and USA respectively. Slovakia’s offensive game has been better but there is a chink in their armour.

In what appears to be a tight encounter, defensive steel may well be decisive and the Swiss backlines have been superior to that of Slovakia. They’ve conceded four less goals and that is important to note when taking into account that the two sides have faced largely the same opposition. If Switzerland can defend as well as we saw them do against USA in particular, then backing them to edge out Slovakia may wind up being the smart move.
