Switzerland vs Germany prediction

Whilst Switzerland may have nothing to show for their efforts so far, they’ve been competitive in both games and with an easier schedule ahead on paper, it would be no surprise if results started to turn around for them. They were narrowly beaten 2-1 by USA before going down 4-2 to Sweden. Losing to the latter will have been particularly frustrated as the Swiss led by two goals to one going into the third period before three unanswered goals sunk them.

Meanwhile, Germany haven’t come as close to winning a game, conceding ten goals over the course of their two group matches so far, losing to USA and Slovakia respectively. It’s a fragile German backline and at the highest level of youth hockey, opponents are exposing it. Switzerland have enough offensive firepower to do exactly the same and have to be favoured for victory here.
