It is a shame that plenty of international stars will miss out on the rearranged first leg of the 1872 Cup on Friday as the last day of the Six Nations takes place on Saturday. Fixtures between the two Scottish members of the United Ruby Championship were postponed over the Christmas period due to covid-19 but Glasgow Warriors can finally host their rivals in some form of the way it was meant to be - in front of a packed Scotstoun. The hosts won two of three meetings with Edinburgh last season in the Pro14 and with both those wins coming at home by a margin of one point and 10 points this looks likely to be a closer result. Glasgow were shocked 35-10 at Scarlets last time out but back-to-back wins at home in the URC coupled with Edinburgh’s four-match losing streak on the road across all competitions suggests taking the hosts to cover -3 is a reasonable outcome.
