This match looks desperately tight to call, with hosts Clermont snapping a four-match losing streak in the Top 14 in a 52-12 victory last Saturday at home to lowly Perpignan and in-form Lyon looking well capable of challenging here after winning seven of their last eight across all competitions. The visitors lost their previous away game in the league by just two points in a 19-17 result at fortress Castres and Clermont have lost twice this season at home to Ulster in the Champions Cup and the aforementioned Castres way back in September. Home advantage is king in the Top 14 but Lyon could well be playing to top the table on Saturday night if results go their way elsewhere. Backing the visitors to sneak this with a hefty +4 seems the shrewd move here for one of the league’s most in-form sides.
