THE PREDICTION

North Queensland Cowboys look set to miss out on second spot after suffering a second loss in their last three games. South Sydney Rabbitohs got the better of them last week and must now defeat Penrith Panthers while hoping Cronulla Sharks lose their game with Newcastle Knights. The Panthers were far too good for New Zealand Warriors last week to make it back-to-back wins but they have opted to rest pretty much their entire strongest side for this encounter with one eye on the finals. With that in mind, the Cowboys should be able to run out big winners with the margin likely to be at least 20 points.
