THE TEAM NEWS

CANBERRA RAIDERS

  • Canberra Raiders fell short in their quest to make it three wins in succession as they were soundly beaten by Brisbane Broncos as they succumbed to their opponents in a one-sided first half.
  • The Raiders found themselves trailing 28-0 at the break which proved to be an insurmountable deficit and to compound their woes, halfback Jamal Fogarty copped an injury so is ruled out of this one.

CRONULLA SHARKS

  • Cronulla Sharks continue to impress and did a superb job last week as they hammered North Queensland Cowboys in what was a comfortable success.
  • The Sharks ran out 42-6 victors in that contest but have been hit by some off-field strife this week which has seen five-eighth Braydon Trindall drop out of the squad with Daniel Atkinson given a crack at replacing him.

THE PREDICTION

Canberra Raiders were left frustrated in their efforts to claim a third successive victory as they went down to Brisbane Broncos last week. They now head back home as they aim to maintain their perfect record there this season. Cronulla Sharks are the visitors and they start the round at the top of the ladder after a strong start to the season. This could go either way but with the Sharks looking so impressive in their demolition of North Queensland Cowboys, preference is just with the away side in this one.

TIP: CRONULLA SHARKS TO WIN
