Portsmouth vs Ipswich prediction

John Mousinho and his Portsmouth side come into this one on the back of an impressive 1-0 defeat of Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium on Teesside, courtesy of a Conor Chaplin winner. Pompey now sit outside of the bottom three and the relegation places ahead of this clash to Suffolk.

Ipswich, on the other hand, sit tucked inside the top two now with two games-in-hand on the rest of the top end of the table. The Tractor Boys pulled off an impressive 2-0 defeat of Norwich City in the so-called ‘Old Farm Derby’ at the weekend, courtesy of first-half goals from Jaden Philogene and George Hirst.

Ipswich will remain the slight favourites and should be difficult to defeat for Pompey in a game whereby both sides need a win and should both get on the front foot, with both teams scoring seeming a good bet down on the south coast.
