Port Vale vs Rotherham United prediction

The gap between Rotherham United and safety is starting to become insurmountable and draws are not good enough anymore for the Miller. They are running out of games to save themselves and travel to Port Vale knowing the three points are a necessity. The hosts have more games in hand than any other club but on just 31 points, it is almost certainly too late for them to save themselves.

On the back of having lost three of their last four League One fixtures, Port Vale were also thrashed 7-0 by Chelsea in the FA Cup this past weekend. It will be a big challenge for them physically to take on this Rotherham side just three days later, especially with their opponents more rested and raring to go. This should tip the scales in the favour of Lee Clark’s side and backing them appears the shrewd play.
