  • Chile are unbeaten in their eight previous matches against OFC opposition (W6 D2). In addition to their four meetings with New Zealand (W3 D1), they also faced Australia four times prior to Australia’s move to the AFC, recording three wins and one draw.

New Zealand vs Chile prediction

Chile failed to qualify for this summer but they have shown real improvement in recent outings and managed to come from behind to defeat Cape Verde by four goals to two at Eden Park in Auckland.

Perhaps fortunate to qualify for the tournament, New Zealand have been very average since ensuring they will be in North America this summer. The All Whites were beaten 2-0 by Finland the other day.

Chile will be expected to once again put the pressure on the New Zealanders, who are being given some wake up calls, and siding with the South Americans looks the way to go for this one.
