Matteo Gigante vs Taylor Fritz Prediction

Matteo Gigante is enjoying a fantastic week at Indian Wells so far as not only has he won two qualifying match to reach the main draw, he followed that up with a battling three-set win over Sebastian Baez.

One of his qualifying wins came against Botic van de Zandschulp while his win over Baez was made all the more impressive by the fact that he had to come from a set down.

He will now face Taylor Fritz, the winner of the 2022 edition at Indian Wells. 

Fritz is the third seed this week and he comes into this tournament with high expectations. He has had a mixed start to the year and he would have unquestionably liked to have put in better showings in the three tournaments he has entered but he will be super focused for the Sunshine Double.

Gigante has been something of a revelation so far this week but his journey likely comes to an end here. Fritz may be a little slow starting but once he clicks into gear, his all-round game should be far too much for Gigante and expect a straight-sets win.
