Liverpool are beginning to click already under Antoni Iraola as The Reds take on still pointless and worryingly poor Fulham at Anfield on Saturday.

Liverpool preview: Unbeaten start

After back-to-back 2-2 draws in which they came from behind twice in both matches against Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest; Liverpool have now earned a couple of victories ahead of the visit of Fulham to Merseyside this weekend.

The Reds eased to a comfortable 2-0 win at Portman Road against Ipswich Town last week with an Alexander Isak brace before they came from behind against Atletico Madrid to win by two goals to one in the UEFA Champions League in midweek.

Fulham preview: Poor Fulham

Alvaro Arbeloa replaced Marco Silva over the summer and Fulham appear to be in a bit of a mess with The Cottagers beginning this season with three successive defeats and suggestions of some unrest already developing in the squad.

After a 3-2 defeat to Chelsea that flattered them in their opener, Fulham then succumbed to a 1-0 loss at Sunderland ahead of another 3-2 loss, this time against Crystal Palace when they had led twice in the first half at Craven Cottage.

Liverpool team news: Barcola could retain his spot

Following his mega money late summer move from Paris Saint-Germain, Bradley Barcola started against Paris Saint-Germain and will be pushing to retain his spot ahead of Victor Munoz.

There are question marks over the form of Florian Wirtz and, like with Jeremie Frimpong, Iraola doesn’t appear to be shy in making a big call to drop a former Bayer Leverkusen man.

Further details will appear here following pre-match press conferences…

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Alisson; Araujo, Jacquet, Van Dijk, Kerkez; Mac Allister, Gravenberch; Barcola, Szoboszlai, Gakpo; Isak

Unavailable: Leoni (Injured), Bradley (Injured), Chiesa (Injured), Ekitike (Injured)

Questionable: Gomez (Fitness)

Fulham team news: Possible changes

Even though he scored, there has still been criticism levelled at Cesar Palacios due to his performance against Palace with Emile Smith Rowe pushing to return to the starting eleven.

As well as that, new signing David Affengruber must be close to a start with the poor form of Joachim Andersen, while Sander Berge should surely come back into the eleven.

Further details will appear here following pre-match press conferences…

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Leno; Castagne, Affengruber, Bassey, Robinson; Charles, Berge; Bobb, King, Smith Rowe; Garcia

Unavailable: Cairney (Injured)

Questionable: De Fougerolles (Injured)

Liverpool vs Fulham prediction

The recipe for relegation is very much there for Fulham with a change in management also contributed to by key departures such as Harry Wilson and Raul Jimenez. Liverpool were frustrated in their opening couple of games and aren’t playing with Iraola’s complete fluency but they have improved in each game and should now ease to a comfortable victory at Anfield.

Liverpool vs Fulham tip: Liverpool to win -1 handicap
