Leyton Orient are still not safe from relegation and will hope to take advantage of facing a Mansfield Town side who could be accused of being ‘on the beach’.

Leyton Orient vs Mansfield Town prediction

Whilst you’d always expect a Mansfield Town side to be competitive and sharp under Nigel Clough, especially from a defensive point of view, we didn’t see that at the Brick Community Stadium this past Saturday. Wigan Athletic took advantage of some lapse Mansfield defending and lack of cutting edge up top, winning 2-1 against the Stags to take them above Leyton Orient in the table.

Elsewhere, Ritchie Wellens’ side fought hard but were beaten 2-1 by league leaders Lincoln City and in what is a more favourable fixture on paper, need to capitalise in the same way that Wigan did. Whilst you’d expect an improvement within the Mansfield backline, Leyton Orient’s desire to win the game in their battle to avoid the drop should give them the edge. Combine that with home advantage and it’s worth backing Orient to pick up a big three points.
