Leeds United have started the season very well as they now come up against a Crystal Palace side off the back of an impressive victory in Europe in midweek.

Kick-off date/time:

Leeds preview: Impressive Leeds

Leeds United come into this one on the back of an impressive 4-1 demolition of Newcastle United at Elland Road on Monday with a brilliant all-round performance from Dominic Calvert-Lewin spearheading The Whites in that one.

Leeds have started the Premier League season with two victories and two draws as they actually begin the fifth match day of the 2026-27 campaign sitting third in the table behind 100%-ers Arsenal and Manchester City.

Crystal Palace preview: Inconsistent start

In their first ever UEFA Europa League game in midweek as they kicked off their league phase, Crystal Palace hammered Polish champions Lech Poznan by four goals to nil with goals scored by Yeremy Pino, Chris Richards, Jorgen Strand Larsen and Eddie Nketiah.

Palace have been entertaining but inconsistent thus far this season with that win following on from a dramatic 3-2 defeat at home to newly-promoted Ipswich Town, a week after winning by the same scoreline in a topsy turvy encounter against Fulham.

Leeds team news: No need to change

Leeds United have no fresh injury concerns or suspension issues with centre-back Joe Rodon sidelined until next month and Mateo Joseph recovering from an ACL injury.

Ao Tanaka came in to strengthen midfield ahead of the likes of Brenden Aaronson and Harry Wilson against Newcastle and there doesn’t appear to be any need for Daniel Farke to change things.

Further details will appear here following pre-match press conferences…

Predicted XI (3-5-2): Trafford; Justin, Elvedi, Muharemovic; Bogle, Tanaka, Ampadu, Stach, Gudmundsson; Calvert-Lewin, Okafor

Unavailable: Rodon (Injured), Joseph (Injured)

Questionable:

Crystal Palace team news: Disasi suspended

Crystal Palace have to make a change at the back with Chelsea loanee Axel Disasi having been sent off against Ipswich and he is now missing through suspension.

Palace also have a few key injury issues, including Dean Henderson, but Ismaila Sarr did return to the squad and came off the bench against Lech in Europe.

Further details will appear here following pre-match press conferences…

Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Benitez; Tomiyasu, Richards, Canvot; Khalaili, Timber, Wharton, Mitchell; McNeil, Pino; Strand Larsen

Unavailable: Henderson (Injured), Riad (Injured), Disasi (Suspended), Mateta (Injured)

Questionable:

Leeds vs Crystal Palace prediction

Pierre Sage his still getting his teeth into things at Crystal Palace but Thursday did show signs of how exactly he wants an all-round good Palace performance to look. They are now running up against a Leeds side that really do know themselves inside and out and have been extremely difficult to beat and awkward to play against since December so siding with the hosts would appear a very decent bet for this one.

Leeds vs Crystal Palace tip: Double chance – Leeds to win or draw
