Kei Nishikori vs Tomas Machac Prediction

Kei Nishikori gets his Dallas Open campaign underway and the Japanese veteran has been handed a tough opening match against sixth-seed Tomas Machac.

The 35-year-old is looking to stay active to gain some ranking points to work his way back up the world rankings following a lengthy injury absence last year.

He returns to action in Dallas against Machac who is playing for the first time on the ATP Tour.

The 24-year-old Czech talent was looking pretty good at the Australian Open before he collided with an inspired Novak Djokovic in the third round. That is unlikely to quell Machac’s mood however and he will be hoping to do well this week.

He will know Nishikori will likely provide a stern test for him too but he is unlikely to be fazed. Machac is playing some good tennis so far in 2025 and we expect him to progress here.
