Karolina Muchova vs Sorana Cirstea Prediction

Czech star Karolina Muchova is enjoying a good week in Dubai so far having come through a series of good tests. She has arguably had one of the easier runs to the quarters having not faced another seed yet but she has still overcome some challenging opponents to get here.

She now meets Sorana Cirstea who comes off an excellent three-set win over eighth-seed Emma Navarro. The 34-year-old took the first set but when Navarro levelled things up, it felt like the momentum was firmly with the seeded player. Cirstea responded well and took the last set 7-5 to make it through to the quarters.

Cirstea has now been involved in two back-to-back three-set battles and at 34-years-old, another tough match may be a step too far. She has little form behind her in 2025 so far so she is out of the pattern of long weeks playing and we think it could well be the end of the road for her here. Muchova has won four of their previous five meetings and we expect her to win once again here.
