Holger Rune vs Stefanos Tsitsipas Prediction
Holger Rune has not had the best of starts to 2025 but he looks like he is starting to find some form at Indian Wells. The 21-year-old Danish star had to dig deep in his last match against Ugo Humbert and after a see-saw battle, he eventually won 5-7 6-4 7-5 and he will take plenty of positives from that performance.
He now takes on Stefanos Tsitsipas who is another player who has hit some form in recent weeks. The Greek star comes off winning in Dubai last week and he is continuing that form at Indian Wells. After beating Thiago Seyboth Wild in his opening match, he then beat in-form Matteo Berrettini 6-3 6-3 in the third round to earn this clash with Rune.
The head-to-head does not make good reading for Tsitsipas as he has never beaten Rune in their three previous meetings. All three of those came in 2022 and 2023 and that record will surely give Rune a boost in confidence.
We marginally prefer the Dane to get the win here. Tsitsipas is playing with good confidence and belief right now but he has also had a hectic schedule that could catch up with him. For those reasons, we like Rune to edge what could be a cracking and close match.
