Germany vs Latvia prediction

A Tim Stutzle-inspired Germany were clinical going forward and rock solid defensively against Denmark, shutting them out in periods two and three in a 3-1 victory with their final goal coming during a German powerplay. It bodes well for them heading into the next round of group games with Latvia up next.

Latvia gave USA a challenge in the first period in particular, responding brilliantly to going behind by drawing level through Renars Krastenbergs. But they ran out of steam and the States took full advantage in periods two and three. The worry for Latvia is they won’t be able to breach the backline of Germany enough to gain a positive result, whilst Germany’s attack should see them score more than twice. Therefore, back a narrow victory for this German squad.
