Switzerland vs Sweden prediction
Switzerland deserves huge credit for the way they fought against Canada in the semi-finals, losing narrowly by two goals to one after rallying in the third period when 2-0 down and making it extremely uncomfortable for the Canadians. The backline and goaltending of Switzerland across the knockout stage has been excellent, conceding just the two goals to Canada and shutting out Finland in the quarter-finals.
Sweden won their preliminary round group with a perfect three wins from three but after beating Czechia 2-0 in the last eight, they ran into the juggernaut that is USA and were defeated by five goals to nil. Take away that fixture and the Swedes have given up just two goals all tournament over the course of four matches.
When taking this into account, a low-scoring bronze medal match appears to be on the cards. Under 4.5 goals have been scored in three of the four knockout stage fixtures involving either of these two nations and backing the same outcome here looks a shrewd move.
Switzerland vs Sweden tip: Under 4.5 total goals
