Still winless Fulham did show some fight last weekend as they now welcome a Manchester United side verging into yet another crisis.

Fulham preview: Fighting Fulham

Concerns over the management of Alvaro Arbeloa had begun to grow at Craven Cottage with the former Real Madrid boss beginning his reign in West London with three successive defeats in the Premier League but it has been a better week for Fulham.

Up against Liverpool at Anfield last weekend, Fulham were more than worth their goalless draw and The Cottagers then entertainingly defeated Championship league leaders West Ham United by three goals to two in the EFL Cup in midweek.

Man Utd preview: A bad start

Manchester United finished last season well and qualified for the UEFA Champions League, beginning their league phase campaign with a 4-0 hammering of Azeri champions Sabah last week – but it is just one of two wins so far this season.

The other win came from behind against Ipswich Town in August with United now heading into this one on the back of giving up a 2-0 lead to lose at home to Brighton and Hove Albion in the cup the other day.

Fulham team news: No need to change

Fulham may well be go with an unchanged eleven from Liverpool for the visit of Manchester United with no fresh injury issues for their starting eleven to deal with at the time of writing.

The versatile Ryan Sessegnon does remain a doubt for the West Londoners after missing out last week, while Tom Cairney remains a confirmed absentee.

Further details will appear here following pre-match press conferences…

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Leno; Castagne, Affengruber, Bassey, Robinson; Berge, Charles; Bobb, King, Iwobi; Garcia

Unavailable: Cairney (Injured)

Questionable: Sessegnon (Injured)

Man Utd team news: Shaw still a doubt

Luke Shaw didn’t feature against Manchester City and then missed out against Brighton despite Michael Carrick suggesting he may be available and so there is a problem at full-back with a fairly average performance from Patrick Dorgu at left-back last week.

The visitors remain without summer signing Carlos Baleba as well as Dutch centre-back Matthijs de Ligt, Uruguayan midfielder Manuel Ugarte and Ivorian attacker Amad Diallo.

Further details will appear here following pre-match press conferences…

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Lammens; Dalot, Maguire, Martinez, Mazraoui; Mainoo, Tielemans; Mbeumo, Fernandes, Rashford, Cunha

Unavailable: De Ligt (Fitness), Ugarte (Injured), Baleba (Injured), Diallo (Injured)

Questionable: Heaton (Injured), Shaw (Fitness)

Fulham vs Man Utd prediction

United lost to newly-promoted Hull City on the opening day, conceded a last gasp equaliser to Everton, lost in controversial but underwhelming fashion in the derby against Manchester City last week and are now reeling from their collapse against Brighton in midweek. Fulham have shown some fight defensively and then some improved cohesion in the final third in their last two games so will believe they can bloody the nose of the stuttering visitors in West London here with both teams scoring seeming a good bet on Sunday.

Fulham vs Man Utd tip: Both teams to score
