THE PREDICTION
Although Mercedes took a one-two in Friday’s practice session, not a great deal can be read into that given the difficult conditions, and with further rain potentially coming on Sunday, this race is very much up for grabs. What is certain though, is that Max Verstappen can mathematically secure the Drivers’ Championship for a second year in a row this weekend, depending on a number of factors. Having only come seventh in Singapore last weekend, the reigning champion will be determined to return to winning ways and he is the likeliest victor in what could be an unpredictable race in Suzuka.
