THE PREDICTION
New Chelsea boss Graham Potter takes charge of the Blues for the first time as Salzburg visit Stamford Bridge, fresh off the back of their 1-1 draw at home to AC Milan. Chelsea acted quickly following a shocking 1-0 loss against Dinamo Zagreb, sacking Thomas Tuchel the following morning and Potter has little room for mistakes as his side desperately need three points to kick start their group stage campaign. Whilst it may take time for Chelsea’s players to get fully to grips with the Englishman’s style of play, the transition tactically should be a smooth one, as Tuchel also favoured a formation that included three central defenders and the use of attacking wing-backs. As dangerous an opponent as Salzburg are, Chelsea with a point to prove home advantage in their favour should wind up too strong for the Austrian champions and get back to winning ways in this one.
