After 14 matches of the 2023/24 La Liga campaign, Almeria, remarkably, remain winless and, as a consequence, begin this weekend’s round of fixtures sitting firmly at the bottom-of-the-table. Real Betis come into this on the back of having their UEFA Europa League knockout qualification delayed by a defeat to Sparta Prague in the Czech Republic on Thursday evening. The Andalusians had been unbeaten in over two and a half months until that loss as they continue to defy the financial odds and challenge on multiple fronts.
Under the management of Manuel Pellegrini, Betis are sitting in the top seven and the UEFA Europa Conference League qualifying spots ahead of this one. Domestically, their 1-0 defeat of Las Palmas at the Benito Villamarin last weekend extended their current unbeaten run of form to ten matches since they were beaten by Barcelona.
