Under the management of Thiago Motta, who took charge of Bologna in the early stages of last season, Bologna pushed towards the top-half of the table playing an innovative and proactive style of football. Despite the loss of the likes of Marko Arnautovic and Nicolas Dominguez over the summer, Bologna maintain an impressive side and style.
They started this season with a 2-0 defeat at home to the now current league leaders AC Milan but have been typically impressive since then as Motta’s stock as a manager continues to rise. They come into this on the back of a 2-2 draw with Internazionale a couple of weeks ago, meaning they are unbeaten in seven matches since that opening day loss.
FROSINONE
Following promotion to the top-flight last season with Italy FIFA World Cup winner Fabio Grosso at the helm, Frosinone replaced Grosso, now at Olympique Lyonnais, with former Roma and Sassuolo manager Eusebio Di Francesco. His appointment, combined with some interesting additions in the transfer window, made them comfortable that they would avoid relegation this season.
Their most recent outing was a return to the good form in which they started the campaign as they defeated Hellas Verona by two goals to one a couple of weeks ago. That victory means they have suffered just two defeats in eight matches since their return to the top-flight as they sit in the top-half of the Serie A table.
