Comoros have enjoyed an impressive half a decade or so after reaching the knockout stages of the CAF Africa Cup of Nations in 2022 and then beginning 2026 qualification for the FIFA World Cup with back-to-back victories in November, defeating the Central African Republic and then Ghana.
