THE TEAM NEWS

NEWCASTLE

Eddie Howe has a fresh injury concern as club captain Jamaal Lascelles sustained an ACL injury on Saturday and he will be unavailable for the next six to nine months.

He joins a long injury list that includes the likes of Nick Pope, Sven Botman, Joelinton and Callum Wilson. Anthony Gordon will also now be missing through suspension after being sent off for two yellow cards against West Ham the other day.

PREDICTED XI (4-3-3): Dubravka; Trippier, Schar, Burn, Hall; Longstaff, Bruno Guimaraes, Willock; Murphy, Isak, Barnes

UNAVAILABLE: Pope (Injured), Botman (Injured), Lascelles (Injured), Livramento (Injured), Targett (Injured), Tonali (Suspended), Miley (Injured), Joelinton (Injured), Gordon (Suspended), Wilson (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Schar (Injured), Trippier (Injured), Almiron (Injured)

EVERTON

Amadou Onana was substituted with an injury for Everton against Bournemouth on Saturday but Sean Dyche does not believe it to be 'too serious'.

Vitaly Mykolenko is 'likely' to be back available after suffering from an illness that saw him miss that game with the Cherries, whilst both Dele Alli and Lewis Dobbin remain unavailable.

PREDICTED XI (4-5-1): Pickford; Coleman, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Mykolenko; McNeil, Doucoure, Onana, Garner, Harrison; Calvert-Lewin

UNAVAILABLE: Alli (Injured), Dobbin (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Mykolenko (Illness), Onana (Injured), Danjuma (Injured)

THE PREDICTION

The Premier League’s entertainers, Newcastle United, continued their thrilling campaign on Saturday. The Magpies fought back from 3-1 down at home to West Ham United to eventually defeat the Hammers by four goals to three. That now means their 29 matches so far this season have consisted of 114 goals. Everton haven’t won in the Premier League since mid-December. They were beaten 2-1 by AFC Bournemouth on Saturday and are just above bottom three and the relegation places. Given the Toffees’ really poor form, backing Newcastle looks the way to go for this one, especially with their home advantage.
