THE LOWDOWN

LEICESTER

  • Leicester’s goalless draw with Crystal Palace sees them still rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table with Brendan Rodgers’ side still boasting just one victory in the Premier League this season.
  • James Maddison passed the yellow card suspension threshold following his late booking for simulation against Crystal Palace, and the England midfielder will be a big miss here given that he has been their most dangerous player this season.

LEEDS UTD

  • Leeds were left to rue a missed penalty from Patrick Bamford against Arsenal last time, with their 0-1 defeat to the Gunners leaving them with no wins from their last six Premier League outings.
  • Pascal Struijk is absent with a knock so Junior Firpo is set to deputise at left-back for the trip to the East Midlands, while Leo Hjelde, Stuart Dallas, Adam Forshaw and Archie Gray are the other absentees in the Leeds camp.

THE PREDICTION

It’s difficult to have confidence in either team here, with Leeds winless in their last six games and Leicester with just one Premier League victory to their name all season. The hosts have tightened up a little in defence recently though, with two clean sheets in their last three games, so Brendan Rodgers can at least see that some improvements are being made. The loss of Maddison to suspension will thwart the Foxes' creativity though, and given that Leeds have scored just one goal in their last three games, this could be a cagey affair. With these factors in mind, a low-scoring share of the spoils is the prediction.
