THE LOWDOWN
EVERTON
- Frank Lampard will be pleased with his side’s recent defensive showings after back-to-back clean sheets against Crystal Palace and Fulham, although improvement is needed in the attacking areas given that the Toffees have found the net in just one of their last four Premier League fixtures.
- Ben Godfrey has returned to training and Yerry Mina has made good progress in his recovery, while Nathan Patterson is a strong contender to start at right-back.
LEICESTER
- Leicester may have lost to Man City last weekend but it took a moment of magic from Kevin De Bruyne to separate the sides and the general level of performance from Brendan Rodgers’ men was high.
- Jonny Evans’ recovery has been a little slower than expected so he may miss out again here, meaning an unchanged line-up could be on the cards for the Foxes.
THE TEAM NEWS

QUESTIONABLE: Godfrey (Injured), Mina (Injured)
LEICESTER
PREDICTED XI (3-4-2-1): Ward; Amartey, Faes, Soyuncu; Castagne, Dewsbury-Hall, Tielemans, Justin; Maddison, Barnes; Vardy
UNAVAILABLE: Bertrand (Injured), Pereira (Injured)
QUESTIONABLE: Evans (Injured)
THE PREDICTION
Leicester’s confidence will not have been dented much by their defeat to Man City last week as – after a terrible start to the season – Brendan Rodgers’ side have generally been on an upward trajectory of late. Everton, meanwhile, have looked solid in recent performances and they are not giving up many chances to their opponents, so this could well be a closely-fought affair with very little to separate the two sides. Two of the last three meetings between Everton and Leicester have ended all square, and it would be no surprise to see this one go the same way.
