THE LOWDOWN

CRYSTAL PALACE

  • Crystal Palace suffered late agony last weekend when their loan star of last season – Conor Gallagher – popped up with a sensational winner for Chelsea in the dying moments to condemn them to a 1-2 defeat, but this fixture marks the beginning of a much kinder fixture run for Patrick Vieira’s men.
  • Centre-back Joachim Anderson missed out last week with a minor injury but is fit to return ton the squad, but right-back Nathaniel Clyne will be out for a couple of weeks with an injury sustained against Chelsea.

LEEDS UTD

  • Leeds’ positive start to the season seems like a distant memory now with Jesse Marsch’s men currently winless in four games, but his side could at least boast a clean sheet in their goalless draw with Aston Villa last weekend.
  • Luis Sinisterra is suspended for this one after his dismissal against Villa and that could pave the way for Patrick Bamford to return to the starting line-up, with Rodrigo – who made his own return last week – operating just behind the striker.

THE PREDICTION

Both teams come into this fixture on the back of a four-game winless run in the Premier League but it can be argued that Palace will be carrying the greater confidence given their displays of late. Starting with this encounter, Palace have an excellent run of fixtures ahead of them and Vieira will be fully expecting them to capitalise on that and propel themselves up the table before the break for the World Cup. There is plenty of exciting attacking talent at both ends of the pitch but Palace are to be favoured here in the draw no bet market.
