THE LOWDOWN

BOURNEMOUTH

  • After the record-equalling 9-0 rout at the hands of Liverpool on Saturday, Scott Parker was – somewhat harshly it has to be said – relieved of his duties as Bournemouth boss.
  • Caretaker manager Gary O’Neil will take the reigns for this fixture, and will need to check on the availability of Lloyd Kelly and Ben Pearson who both came off with knocks at Anfield.

WOLVES

  • Wolves were only moments away from their first Premier League win of the season on Sunday, but a stunning Allan Saint-Maximin volley in injury-time ensured that Bruno Lage’s men had to settle for a point.
  • There are no new injury concerns in the Wolves treatment room but Willy Boly seems almost certain not to feature with the centre-back nearing a move away from the club, not to mention the fact he failed to turn up against Newcastle.

THE TEAM NEWS

BOURNEMOUTH

PREDICTED XI (3-5-2): Travers; Mepham, Lerma, Senesi; Smith, Tavernier, Billing, Marcondes, Zemura; Solanke, Moore

UNAVAILABLE: Brooks (Fitness), Rothwell (Injured), Fredericks (Injured), Stanislas (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Kelly (Injured), Pearson (Injured)

WOLVES

PREDICTED XI (4-3-3): Sa; Ait-Nouri, Collins, Kilman, Jonny; Nunes, Neves, Moutinho; Guedes, Jimenez, Neto

UNAVAILABLE: Chiquinho (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Boly (Personal reasons)

THE PREDICTION

Scott Parker was rather unceremoniously sacked in the wake of Bournemouth’s 9-0 mauling on Saturday as he became the first Premier League manager of the season to be dismissed, although it is perhaps more likely that Parker’s post-game comments had more to do with this decision than the result. Interim boss Gary O’Neil has a job on his hands to pick the dressing up given the short turnaround here, and that should play into Wolves’ hands. The hosts perhaps haven’t got the results their performances have deserved so far this season, but a first three points of the campaign looks within their reach.

TIP: WOLVES TO WIN
