Club Brugge crashed out of the Belgian Cup in a 0-3 hammering by Flanders rivals Gent on Wednesday night to all-but confirm a trophy-less season for the reigning champions. They are seven points behind runaway leaders Union Saint-Gilloise and unlikely to catch them in the regular season, although we could yet see a capitulation in the Championship round after 34 games.
