Finland vs Latvia prediction
Finland’s coaching staff have every reason to be happy with what they saw against Denmark, particularly from an offensive perspective. Whilst they eased up in the third period, the damage was already done after six goals were scored by this talented Finnish side across the opening two frames. After winning 2-6, they’ll be confident of further success vs a stubborn but beatable Latvian side.
Whilst Latvia pushed Canada to the limit, the latter came out on top 1-2 after overtime and there’s no doubt that the bonus hockey likely took a lot out of the Latvian players, not to mention the agony of losing. That doesn’t bode well for them against a Finland team with momentum in their favour and so backing Antti Pennanen’s side should be very much considered.
