Everton have started their Premier League season with a win against Crystal Palace before earning late equalisers against AFC Bournemouth and Manchester United ahead of a goalless draw with Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.

Ipswich preview: Competitive Tractor Boys

Following their promotion to the top-flight last season, Ipswich Town have started the campaign competitively now with Gary O’Neil at the helm, having managed two victories in their opening four matches of the Premier League campaign.

The Tractor Boys’ second win came away at Selhurst Park last weekend as they snatched a 3-2 victory against Crystal Palace, courtesy of a 90th minute winner scored by ‘deadline day’ signing Zian Flemming.

Everton team news: Rohl out

Versatile midfielder Merlin Rohl missed out on the squad against Spurs and then Wolves. He remains sidelined with Christian Norgaard a confirmed absentee but Harrison Armstrong could be available after his own issue.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles started against Spurs with fellow ‘deadline day’ signing Jack Grealish remaining on the bench last week but the Manchester City loanee did start against Wolves the other day.

Azor Matusiwa continued to be absent in midweek alongside Jack Taylor but Gary O'Neil has said that Taylor is the only injury absentee.

David Moyes is in charge of a very tight and shallow Everton squad but the Scotsman is again proving himself to be a worthy coach, getting the requisite buy in from his under-pressure players, capable of making it awkward for anyone. They are unlikely to be overly proactive here and a low-scoring encounter is to be expected with Ipswich surely also more than content to get out of Merseyside without a defeat.
