Daniil Medvedev vs Tallon Griekspoor Prediction
Daniil Medvedev can take great confidence from his win over Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard on Wednesday. He won 6-4 6-4 and created ten break points against the French powerhouse’s dominant serve, and took two of them to clinch each set.
The most impressive part of his performance was his own serve winning 96% on first serve, restricting Mpetshi Perricard to winning just eight receiving points, and he did not concede a single break point as Medvedev was clearly on his game.
It will be interesting to see if the top seed can maintain these kinds of levels now in the remainder of the tournament as he faces Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor in the quarters.
Griekspoor produced an excellent performance to upset Ugo Humbert in the round of 16 and he came from a set down to do so.
He now faces another tough test as he comes up against Medvedev. He will have to improve on his performance on Wednesday to have any chance of beating Medvedev but that may still not be good enough. We favour Medvedev here and barring a remarkable drop in quality from Wednesday, which he is prone to, he should overpower Griekspoor.
